Global Warehouse Excellence implementation
Heineken has 167 breweries in 70 countries where around 300 international, regional, local and craft beers are brewed. As one of the Strategic objectives Heineken Global Supply Chain focused on
streamlining its supply chain and launched a strategic program called Warehouse Excellence.

Role of Tarlunt
Tarlunt was hired as program management for the Warehouse Excellence program, managing the Design, Build, Test and Deploy (full cycle) of the Global Warehouse Excellence template based on SAP ECC+eWM. Tarlunt managed international System Integrators and coached Heineken teams around the world in driving deployment delivery!
Approach taken
A global template has been developed first in which global ways of working have been defined and agreed upon for the key Supply Chain processes such as Wareh ousing including all integration with
among others Sales, Planning, Transportation, brewing process . This new global way of working has
been built and tested as pilot and deployed in a large Russia brewery. After successful implementation, the template has been rolled in rest of Russia, Croatia, Italy, South Africa, Mexico and Brazil.
Tarlunt lead the challenging process defining the standard, the one common ways of working with
harmonized and standardized warehousing processes including all change transformation activities.
Tarlunt set up the Governance model enabling fast deployment in a complex and dynamic business
environment with predictable program control (risks/costs etc.)
Result
A success story within Heineken. After 3 years Tarlunt handed over to the Heineken business
organization; the deployment machine is still running around the world bringing significant value to
Heineken operations.
